IF YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE ONE THING—CHANGE YOUR MIND
It is time to for new beginnings but you don’t know where to start or how to change. You have written the vision. You have made a decision but life keeps challenging your new direction. Transitions are often without clear breakpoints. We seldom get the opportunity to completely step out of one’s life into brand new world. Our biggest challenge is how to make the transition. So if you could change one thing, I suggest that you change your mind.
Your first step begins with a mind that is “made up”. Have you really made a decision? Our frustration comes when we give in to distractions. However, I believe distractions impact our lives because we fail to make a decision. If you feel called to change the direction of your life—why halt between two opinions begin to take steps to re-educate, retain, and refocus yourself—why procrastinate. Have you really decided to start a business—when, what, how? We must learn that a dream becomes reality only through action. It requires work and modification to bring a dream into reality.
Now I realize you might feel overwhelmed some days. I had a dream that I was exiting a bomb shelter. I looked all around me and felt overwhelmed; but, I was reassured in this dream that I had enough to begin again. Maybe you are like me—coming out of a hidden place after a long battle feeling devastated and overwhelmed. You survived and as you survey your circumstances, there might exist a lot of damage. Change your focus! Change your mind. It isn’t about the destruction but a new beginning.
Scripture: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
